Happy Caps could not grow to serve so many without the many volunteers who create our beautiful Happy Caps, as well as those who support overall operations, such as pickup, delivery, sorting, and tagging...many of whom are themselves former Happy Caps recipients and/or survivors.
Caps can be made by a volunteer who wants to work on their own time to create caps at their own pace, or by a volunteer who makes caps as a member of a group, such as a church, senior center, or club.
Or, a volunteer can help to make Happy Caps work overall, such as doing hat sorting and packing, tagging, volunteer recruitment, donor outreach, cap pick-ups, technical support or delivery.
See Happy Cap requirements and sizing guidelines below!
Knitting, looming, and crocheting are easy to learn. There are wonderful, easy-to-follow Youtube videos to teach you how and free patterns online to guide you. Just Google “free chemo hat patterns”.
